We now have many rainproof versions of electric patio heaters.

From inexpensive budget type heaters to the more exclusively designed heaters, there is a choice for everyone to add a little more warmth to patio and gazebo areas.

Infra-red Systems are sponsors for Mellish Rugby Football Club based at the Memorial Ground on Mapperley Plains Nottingham.

We have installed numerous infra-red units in and around the club house and also in the players changing rooms. The latest projects include a CCTV camera system to increase the security of the club's premises and the on site Police Piped Band have been supplied with numerous storage heaters.

We have our name displayed on the advertising boards on the main pitch.

A 200kW Infra-red Heater

Infra-red Systems have recently manufactured and supplied a 200kW short-wave infra-red heating system to a leading manufacturer of street lighting columns. The system has the capacity to heat portions of the column up to over 200 degrees C in just 60 seconds! It uses our muffle heating technology, directing the energy just where it is needed. Coupled with the closed loop control it is able to hold the temperature accurately if required to do so. The system has removed, what would normally be, a huge bottleneck in their manufacturing process by rapidly heating individual columns just when they are needed rather than relying on a large hot-air batch oven. Aimed at the domestic market we have a number of new floor standing heaters available.

These are ideal during cold spells to add heat where and when you want it without having to switch your central heating back on. Ideal in conservatories or even outside on the patio, these heaters are offered at extremely low factory direct prices. More Details

Rapid Heating Conveyor

Infra-red is ideally suited for rapid drying and curing of many products including silicone, latex and rubber products, water-based and solvent based coatings and many more. By careful selection of wavelength, a highly efficient system can be used. See our new self contained rapid heating conveyor.

Infra-red for Rapid Drying and Curing of Water-based Coatings!

Many finishing companies are finding that as they move towards compliant and water-based products they have drying and curing problems associated with there coatings. By retrofitting 'cheap and cheerful' infra-red heaters to their existing heating equipment, these problems can be easily overcome without the need to significantly change their process. If you are having similar problems please get in touch for further advice. We have recently been running trials in conjunction with a major paint and lacquer manufacturer. The trials have consisted of using infra-red heating for rapid drying and curing of water-based and compliant coatings. Typical cure times can now be as low as 40 seconds! This allows the immediate de-nibbing and handling of the product and facilitates greatly increased throughputs on a production line.
